Oh! Vietnam! Em nhớ Việt Nam !

I've been back in the states for almost two weeks now and I still can't get Vietnam out of my head. This last trip was really meaningful for me. I feel like I say that every year that I go (this was my seventh visit). This year was different for me because it was the first time I'd been back since my grandpa (ông ngoại) passed away. It was really strange. Every trip I've made to Vietnam we always stayed at my ông ngoại's house. My uncle who had been taking care of my ông ngoại is now living in his house and it was just a different dynamic for me, but it was also a good one. I feel like I bonded with my cousins in really special way (they're my youngest cousins, so before this trip I never really had a relationship with them).  I love them so much and I am so sad to be so far away from them. Life is really different in Vietnam. Being home is so bland and gray. I hope I start to get back to normal soon, but I feel like this trip to Vietnam really made me change my outlook on my life. It is a good thing.
